How does an IBG work?

An IBG sits alongside the installer’s original guarantee and can extend protection for up to 12 years.

Typically, these policies cover essential building components such as basements, tanking and waterproofing systems, piling, external cladding, insulation, and roofing (flat or pitched).

IBGs help contractors meet contractual obligations required by building owners and main contractors. The cover can also be passed to future owners, providing ongoing security for the property.
